Extreme day trip
What a day we had. We do a lot of what we call extreme day trips, Days to remember for us and our kids and this one is up there with the best, all organised by a lovely chap Stanley for Lobo safari tours. 4am pick up from hotel in pingue (Zanzibar) 06:30 flight, land on dirt strip 50 mins later in mikumi park (Tanzania) our guide Goutram waiting for us, plane parked like it was in a bus stop, 😂 he knew the spots cos we seen everything, stopped for food and a break which was also an experience with the wild monkeys helping themselves to the jeeps. Then off to the hippo and 🐊 pool before the flight home watching the sun go down as we left. So much more to mention but I’d be here forever. Our favorite trip ever!!
Lobo is the best!! We tailored our safari to focus on animal viewing in Massi Mara and the Serengeti. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Not only did we view lions, leopards, cheetahs, hippos, elephants, giraffes, rhinos and more, but the guides were extremely knowledgeable about the animals and the varying habitats. We got to view animals interacting, hunting, resting and even the Wildebeests crossing the Mara river for the migration. We stayed in a variety of lodging options including tented camps through lodges. We preferred the tented camps because we liked to be in natural surroundings. Lodges were also very nice with pools etc… With Lobo you can customize your accommodations based on your preferences. The owner, Stanley, listened to what we wanted in this trip and made plans accordingly. We also got to visit a Massi tribe boma and tour a coffee plantation. Everything was great!! Excellent service and organization!Highly recommend Lobo Africa! They organized an incredible 3-day safari for us. Their team was super responsive and replied to our messages very quickly. The tour was perfectly organized from start to finish. Our guide (Machete) is awesome and we had a great opportunity.. a Lioness decided to walk by our jeep so we have had the opportunity to see her really close! Unforgettable Experience with Lobo Africa
Our 2-day safari to Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater was an amazing experience. Even though it was a short safari, we were lucky enough to see the Big Five, which made it truly unforgettable. The breathtaking scenery and wildlife in the Ngorongoro Crater were absolutely outstanding. A special thank you to our guide, Laizer, for his professionalism, knowledge, and for making this safari such a memorable experience. The Perfect Safari Trip
We spent six unforgettable days on safari, visiting the Maasai Mara, the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park. If we ever return for another safari, we would choose Lobo again without hesitation. It was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Communication before the trip – Stanley took excellent care of us from the very beginning. He always replied quickly, answered all of our questions and gave us great advice throughout the planning process. Organization & Planning – Everything was perfectly organized and ran smoothly from start to finish. The company was reliable and our individual wishes were always taken into account. Safari Guides (Kenya: Sosio | Tanzania: Fredy) – Both guides were outstanding. They have extensive knowledge of the local culture, wildlife and nature. They were incredibly friendly, patiently answered our countless questions and always considered our personal wishes. They coordinated everything perfectly with the lodges and both speak several languages. Even though my English is quite basic, communication was never a problem. They are highly professional drivers and we always felt completely safe and comfortable with them. Wildlife Sightings – We were lucky enough to see the Big Five not only in the Maasai Mara but also again in Tanzania, which was absolutely amazing. Our guides worked incredibly hard to find wildlife and stayed in constant contact with other guides to maximize our chances of great sightings. They always respected the animals and made sure wildlife was never disturbed. During the transfer day from the Maasai Mara to the Serengeti via the border, there are naturally fewer animals to see, but it offers a fascinating glimpse into everyday life in both Kenya and Tanzania. Accommodation (Mid-range) – Every lodge exceeded our expectations. The staff were wonderful, the rooms were clean and comfortable and each location was fantastic. Everything had been carefully selected by Lobo and matched our preferences perfectly. Spending two nights in the heart of the Serengeti was one of the highlights of our trip—waking up with zebras right outside our accommodation was simply unforgettable. Food – The food at every accommodation was delicious, varied and plentiful. We enjoyed every meal and had no issues at all. During the game drives, there was always cold drinking water available and the packed lunch boxes were excellent. We especially enjoyed sharing meals with our guides and learning more about their countries and culture. Safari Vehicle – The vehicle was clean, comfortable and in excellent condition. It was well equipped with everything we needed, including a refrigerator and charging sockets. It was cleaned every day, which made the long game drives even more enjoyable. Overall Experience – An unforgettable safari that exceeded all of our expectations. We never imagined we would see so much wildlife in just six days. Every day brought new highlights and the entire journey was perfectly organized. Tive uma experiência verdadeiramente maravilhosa durante o meu safari de 5 dias no Parque Nacional do Serengeti, na Cratera de Ngorongoro e no Parque Nacional de Tarangire com a Lobo Africa. Desde o início, tudo foi muito bem organizado e conduzido com profissionalismo. Tive a sorte de presenciar momentos inesquecíveis nos parques, e avistar os Cinco Grandes superou todas as minhas expectativas. Um agradecimento especial a toda a equipa da Lobo África, em especial ao meu motorista e guia, Laizer, que foi a estrela desta viagem. A sua experiência, as suas excelentes capacidades para avistar animais e o seu profundo conhecimento da vida selvagem e da cultura local tornaram a viagem ainda mais especial. A fantastic all round safari experience!
Our safari with Lobo Africa was wonderful & well planned from start to finish. From first contact Stanley was responsive, helpful & efficient. Everything ran smoothly & as arranged - we were met at Nairobi airport, spent a night in a great hotel, then flew to Arusha to begin our 5 days in the Serengeti & Ngorongoro Crater, before returning to Nairobi overland. All the transport & hotels / lodges were great - with KumbuKumbu Tented Camp & the Mvuli Lodge being the pick. Our driver / guide was Matthew & he was attentive, enthusiastic & very skilled - we saw everything we wanted (all the Big 5) and so much more. Even when we had a mechanical problem, Matthew was able to sort things out calmly & efficiently, and we got right back on track. LOBO Africa were exceptional in their care of us, planning our itinerary and giving us the best safari one could dream of. We saw the big 5 we saw the ugly 5 and we saw so many animals we didn’t even think we would see. Every day was full of sightings on the Game Drives. Stanley-our agent always responded to communication quickly day or night when we were planning the trip. He carefully selected the hotels, lodges and camps to our Eco / Environmental ethos which we appreciated, he welcomed us on arrival and had a farewell drink at the end of our trip. The accommodation he chose for us was excellent and each place had a special aspect as well as beautiful people to welcome us (Karibu)! Our Safari driver Matthew gave us a good day, everyday! His passion for the animals, his knowledge and experience were shared in a humble yet enthusiastic way. We did an unforgettable 5-day safari through Tarangire, Serengeti, Ndutu, and Ngorongoro, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. From the very beginning, the booking process with Lobo Africa was seamless. Every question we had was answered promptly and clearly, which made planning our trip completely stress-free. We were incredibly fortunate to have Samwel as our guide. He was outstanding in every way professional, knowledgeable, and an exceptionally skilled driver, even in challenging conditions. We felt safe and well looked after at all times. His expertise, sharp eye for wildlife, and ability to choose the best routes gave us some absolutely phenomenal sightings. Thanks to Samwel ,we saw far more than we ever imagined — including three leopard sightings, four rhinos, countless elephants and lions up close, and so much more.
